Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has come under intense public condemnation after his controversial Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) remarks backfired.
Speaking during a Kamba community BBI sensitization meeting ahead of the planned Kitui BBI mega rally, Kalonzo proposed that term limits for Governors be scrapped.
During the rally attended by four senators, 16 MPs and some 162 MCAs, the former Vice President proposed a system of Governance having a powerful Prime Minister and two Deputies.
However, it is his suggestion about Governors’ term limits that broke the internet with widespread condemnation.

Kalonzo Musyoka is proposing removal of term limits for Governors to be added into BBI proposals. Nothing against the former VP, but nowadays I have some doubts on his utterances. They're turning out more and more reckless every day.

The BBI rallies have become a major source of political differences with its opponents regarding it as political mobilization ahead of 2022 Presidential race.
So far, three BBI rallies have been conducted with the next event set to be held in Kitui County.
Wednesday morning, a planned parallel BBI meeting organized by DP Ruto-allied leaders flopped after Nakuru County booked the venue for a different function.
Tangatanga legislators made a surprise move last week to join the BBI bandwagon after skipping the first two rallies in Kisii and Kakamega.
