Murkomen Fires Back Over Parallel BBI Rallies

Majority Leader of Senate Kipchumba Murkomen hit the nail on the head over the parallel BBI rallies matter.

The fire breathing Murkomen offered clarity after information had emerged that there was a plan to hold the rallies in order to counter that led by ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Through a tweet, the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator noted that the news being shared over the matter was wrong.

According to the Jubilee party politician, no parallel rallies would be held by the Tanga Tanga group.

Murkomen reiterated that the wrangle between Jubilee and ODM had ended and they were more concentrated on working together.

The vocal leader remarked that the sentiments would be proven with the Nakuru BBI meeting slated for February 8.

He further added that President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is yet to make an appearance to any of the events, was welcomed to join Deputy President William Ruto, Raila, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford-Kenya leader Moses Wetangula.

The Senator also gave a special invite to Thirdway Alliance party leader Ekuro Aukot and ex-Presidential candidate Abduba Dida.

“Rallies are enhanced starting with Nakuru on 8th Feb 2020. No to parallel rallies. No to us versus them. All are welcomed to the rallies as we together build bridges of friendship, unity and brighter future,” read the tweet.

During the Mombasa BBI rally, Murkomen pulled a first one on the Raila led side with his proclamation over the referendum.

The Ruto supporter on behalf of the Tanga Tanga faction, declared that a referendum was the way to go over the implementation of the BBI report.

He articulated that they were in full support of the document that was launched at Bomas in 2019.

The Elgeyo Marakwet leader, however, stated that the document required changes specifically on the proposal of the three-tier government structure.
