Local Comedian Causes a Stir after Revealing That He Had a Tough Upbringing Because He didn’t Have A Memory Card

Local comedian Amandeep Jagde has caused a stir on social media after he opened up on his rough upbringing in South B estate of Nairobi.

The comedian of Asian ethnicity said the joke which has since gone wrong during an interview on Citizen TV’s daybreak with Kimani Mbugua.

South B is predominantly owned by middle-class families.

“I was born in South B, I grew up in a very rough neighbourhood,” he started.

In describing his tough childhood, he described not having memory cards for his playstation as the biggest hurdle he faced growing up.

“We didn’t have memory cards for PlayStation,” he said.

His confession has received a lot of mixed reactions from Kenyans. While some thought it was funny, some have rebuked him saying it is not funny.

Wordsmithsosa said, “huyu ajapitia kitu like fr we past over hills and valleys to go to school.”
