After Embakasi East MP Babu Owino was freed on bond, a section of Nairobians, who are against his release have put up banners as a way of criticizing the Judiciary’s way of handling cases.
This banners has been put up in major routes heading to CBD.
The one that was put up along Jogoo road near Muthurwa, questions the integrity of the Judiciary urging that majority of the inmates in Kenya prisons are the poor adding that it’s time for all the corrupt Judges to be laid off.
“Why is the majority of inmates in #Kenya the poor people? We demand a working judiciary free of corrupt judges now!,”reads the writings on the banner.
While the one on Mombasa road near Nyayo Stadium disclose that the Akashas brothers, who were jailed by USA court lived freely in Kenya despite being connected with drug trafficking.
Babu Owino’s release
Babu Owino was released on a Sh10 million cash bail in a case where he is accused of shooting Felix Orinda alias DJ Evolve at a city club on January 17.
He was on January 20 committed to remand after denying unlawfully attempting to cause the death of a Nairobi DJ and carrying a firearm while drunk and disorderly after shooting at Nairobi’s B-Club on January 17.
