Another International media house has found itself in deep trouble with Kenyans following a controversial headline on the current locusts menace that has hit the country.
On Saturday January 25, 2020, CBS News ran a headline titled Locust outbreak in Kenya is worst in 70 years: “Even cows are wondering what is happening”.
But did they really interview the cows on the locusts menace that is causing destruction in most parts of the country?
Well, this is where the media house has found its troubles with Kenyans.
In their story, CBS News says Kenya and Somalia have not had a locust “infestation like this in a quarter-century, destroying farmland and threatening an already vulnerable region with devastating hunger”.
“Even cows are wondering what is happening,” Ndunda Makanga, a Kenyan farmer who spent hours Friday trying to chase the locusts from his farm was quoted by the media house.
But Kenyans now have a problem with how the headline ran by CBS News was put, which depicts the media house could have interviewed the cows.
Some are now asking the media house to say how the cows expressed their views on locust infestation.
Hilarious memes have also been created, showing how the cows could have been given microphones by the media house to air their views.
Here are some of the reactions.

So after interviewing cows, you couldn't interview goats, sheep, chicken etc to know their position?

KENYA is home to my cattle-adoring Maasai people that always believe cows to hold and express own opinions! Your coverage of those bovine views is a major milestone in ending centuries of media discrimination of cows! #EkweniNkishu @wilsonkaikai @ledamalekina @OleTiwaine
