Tottenham Hotspurs will have to play a second FA cup replay this season following a frustrating 1-1 draw with Southampton at the St.Marys Stadium.
Spurs, who needed a very late goal to see off Norwich in the League in midweek went ahead through Heung Min Son just two minutes to the hour mark.
The first half had been a boring affair that saw both teams fail to register a shot on target. Things were going to plan for Jose Mourinho’s side after the Son goal but things dramatically changed with just four minutes remaining.
Sofiane Boufal took advantage of a lapse from the Spurs defense to poke home the equalizer for the Saints and set up a replay at the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium next month.
Elsewhere in the FA Cup, it was a day of upsets for English Premier League sides as Burnley was knocked out at home by bottom of the table Norwich.
Westham also went down to a solitary goal from Championship side West Brom at the London Stadium. Newcastle drew with Oxford United while Kelechi Ihenacho was on target as Leicester City beat Brentford 1-0.
The FA Cup continues on Sunday with Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United in action while Arsenal will be away to Bournemouth on Monday.
