Raila’s Team to Watch Football During Ruto’s Thursday NTV Interview

ODM Party spokesman Phillip Etale Thursday threw jabs at Deputy President William Ruto’s highly anticipated exclusive appearance on NTV, in an attempt to undermine the program’s political impact.

The ODM leader Raila Odinga’s right-hand-man stated that their camp’s only focus, come Thursday night, would be the heated Premier League, where Liverpool and Wolves football clubs are set to clash in pursuit of the prestigious English title.

”Tonight there will be a big match between title-chasers Liverpool and giant-killers Wolves. That’s where our eyes will be glued,” Etale sarcastically wrote on his social media pages.

The DP’s interview is slated for 9 PM, with the football match set to kick off at 11 PM.

Etale’s post attracted a lot of criticism from the deputy head of state’s supporters, who noted that while Raila’s camp was free to engage in whichever activities they preferred, Ruto’s conversation with Ken Mijungu would be the highlight of the night.

Raila’s supporters also stormed the post in equal measure to reiterate their disinterest in what the DP had to tell the nation.

The deputy head of the ruling Jubilee Party is prospected to come clean on his current stand on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), at a time when his Tangatanga faction appears to be leaning towards joining the push for the full embracement of the BBI spirit.

Kenyans are also hopeful that Ruto will address key issues pertaining to the Jubilee government’s lagged delivery on their 2017 campaign promises, especially on infrastructural projects.

Further, the country expects the DP to address concerns that his relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta has grown frosty, with a bitter party break-up looming.
