Kalonzo to Lead His Allies to Mombasa BBI Meeting

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka will lead Wiper MPs and MCAs to Saturday’s Mombasa Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) consultative meeting.

According to a statement issued by Wiper Party’s head of Communication Onesmus Kilonzo, the former Vice President will be accompanied by several MPs and MCAs, mainly from his Wiper party.

According to the statement, Kalonzo did not attend the previous BBI meetings in Kisii and Kakamega due to commitments as Kenya’s Special Envoy to South Sudan

His move to attend the Mombasa chapter comes moments after tanga tanga affiliated lawmakers vowed to attend all the remaining BBI meetings.

Tanga tanga team says ODM leader Raila Odinga’s team aims to ensure they are part of the process and control its narrative.

However, Mombasa governor Hassan Ali Joho had earlier issued warning to tanga tanga team.

He said that they can joke anywhere else but not in county 001.

“Let them be made aware that they can joke anywhere else in the country but it shall not be in Mombasa,” he remarked.

On Wednesday, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja told Ruto’s team to attend the meeting in peace.

Junet questioned the sudden change of tune from the leaders allied to Ruto to attend the BBI meeting.
