Arsenal came from behind twice to draw with Chelsea in a Premier League match staged at Stamford Bridge. The Gunners came into the match on the back of two straight draws in the league and things were made difficult for them midway through the first half.
German defender Shkodran Mustafi played a poor back pass to his goalkeeper and the ball was easily collected by Chelsea Striker Tammy Abraham. David Luiz slid in to challenge the striker and he conceded a penalty and was sent off.
Jorginho converted the spot-kick and Arsenal was left with a mountain to climb.
They pulled level through Gabriele Martinelli who ran with the ball from his own half before cooly slotting the ball past the Chelsea goalkeeper for the equalizer. Arsenal held on and was looking safe for the draw until a late corner swung the game into Chelsea’s favor.
Mason mount delivered the ball and Azplicueta was on hand to direct the ball past Bernd Leno.
However, two minutes later Hector Bellerin curved a beautiful left-foot shot into the bottom corner to level matters for the Gunners once more. They held on to record a memorable draw that takes them to 30 points in the league.
Chelsea remains 4th with 40 points.
