In his first exclusive TV interview, Dr Ruto will go head-to-head with NTV’s Ken Mijungu and also spare some time with the media house’s print- Daily Nation.

The embattled President Uhuru’s right-hand man has been under immense pressure by leaders allied to ODM party leader Raila Odinga and the President to resign amid evident signs of a fallout.

Ruto, a once close confidant of President Kenyatta has been on the receiving end of neglect by State operatives who perceive him to be ‘undermining the head of state.’

A Tanga Tanga MP on Tuesday claimed that the state had slashed DP Ruto’s convoy to beef up that of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) organizers.

This comes just weeks after the Deputy head of state was kicked out from his official residence in Mombasa while attending a function with President Kenyatta.

Ruto would jet out of Mombasa early morning of the following day after spending the night at the English-Point Marina hotel.

In an unprecedented move, DP Ruto allies Tuesday announced a major about-turn where they pledged to support the unity initiative.

The legislators had earlier been apprehensive over the initiative which they claimed had been ‘hijacked’ by political interests.
