Bring Junet, Imran Okoth Trolls Murkomen After Confirming Mombasa BBI Attendance

Kibra MP Imran Okoth took a swipe at Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen over attending the Mombasa BBI meeting.

Murkomen during a presser remarked that the stand of the leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto over the BBI Initiative had changed.

The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator noted that the leaders would support the BBI report and attend all the scheduled rallies.

Flanked by the likes of Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and Parliament Cheif Whip Benjamin Washiali, the lot asserted that they would start with the meeting in the coast region.

Okoth through a tweet, trolled Murkomen that Suna East MP Junet Mohamed should be present during the forum.

H.E @HassanAliJoho mueke Hon @JunetMohamed akue MC kwa BBI meeting ya Mombasa, Najua Mwesh @kipmurkomen will be around on Saturday this week,” read the tweet.

The sentiments by the brother to the late Ken Okoth opened a wound inflicted by Junet during the launch of the BBI report at Bomas.

The lawmaker during the unveiling of the findings by the team appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga embarrassed Murkomen on live television.

While introducing the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, the Suna East legislator joked that the Jubilee party member should refrain from talking about the ruling party’s wrangles.

The opinion left Uhuru in stitches while Ruto who was present was angered by the remarks.

Murkomen on his part claimed that the meeting was biased as only selected leaders were given the opportunity to express their views.

Things went from bad to worse when the vocal Rift Valley leader was heckled by the other politicians in attendance.

The matter drew an uproar from citizens who pointed out that Junet was out of order in picking a fight with the Majority leader.

In the event that the ODM legislator attends the coastal rally, the country will be eager to see if the term ‘history repeats itself’ would prevail.
