Their planned meeting comes just a few hours after a section of Jubilee leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto announced that they were going to attend the Mombasa meeting.

Although details surrounding their meeting still remains scanty, reports indicate that the two political rivals are set to meet on Thursday to discuss matters concerning the BBI meeting set for Saturday.

Speaking earlier in the day during a Press conference alongside Susan Kihika (Nakuru Senator), Moses Kuria (Gatundu South MP), Alice Wahome (Kandara MP) and other lawmakers, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen announced that they would organize BBI rallies across the country starting with Mombasa this weekend.

Their announcement came as a shock to many who had viewed Ruto and his brigade as great opposers of the initiative which according to many, is meant to unite the country.

Ruto and Raila’s much-anticipated meeting is set to give a new direction on the way forward for the two leaders who have been so critical on each other since they parted ways in 2009.

Despite this, no official communication from the two sides has been given out concerning the meeting.
