Murkomen Turns to Biblical Scriptures in Consoling Ruto

Deputy President Dr William Ruto’s woes have attracted the attention of his allies, who are not only fighting the enemies back but also quoting biblical scriptures to comfort the DP.

On Thursday, senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen was forced to quote the bible over a controversial headline ran by The Standard Newspaper hitting the second in command.

The story titled ” Outsider in Government” with DP Ruto’s image got the attention of Murkomen who went ahead to quote 1st Corinthians 10:13.

As per the saying of the verse, Murkomen believes that the test the DP is experiencing is the kind that should be expected to come to people.

In what looks like a comfort to the DP, the verse goes ahead to say that “But God keeps his promise and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm”.

“Every test that u have experienced is the kind that normally comes 2 people. But God keeps his promise&he will not allow u to be tested beyond ur power to remain firm;at the time u are put to the test,he will give u the strength 2 endure it&so provide u with a way out.”1 Cor.10:13,” Murkomen quoted the verse.

DP Ruto’s relationship with his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta has been worsening since the head of state entered into a political truce with opposition leader Raila Odinga.

The DP who is against the truce has been attacking Raila several terms, with him opposing some of the projects being done by Uhuru and Raila.

The most recent project Ruto has been attacking is the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

President Kenyatta’s most recent cabinet reshuffle also came as a shocker to the DP who was left out in the appointments.

Instead, his close ally, the former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri was sacked, with Uhuru replacing him with former Trade CS Peter Munya.

His woes are deeply worsening with what his allies believe as being sidelined from the government.

He is the main contestant in the upcoming 2022 presidential polls, with many speculating that Uhuru’s truce with Raila is aimed at blocking his presidential bid.

Already, former presidential aspirant Stanley Livondo has filed a petition seeking to block the DP from running for presidency in 2022.

Do you think the DP will surpass all these hurdles to clinch to the power come 2022?
