The leaders led by Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and MP David Gikaria were barred from attending the function in the county where the president is set to issue title deeds to the locals.

According to Senator Kihika, they were locked out after ‘Orders from Above’ instructed the organizers saying the two leaders belonged to unwanted faction.

“Earlier today the area MP Hon Gikaria and I were refused entry into a PUBLIC function where the President will be issuing Title Deeds to the people of Nakuru County. We were informed that orders from above are that we cannot be allowed entry because we belong to an Unwanted Faction! Meanwhile we are building bridges and uniting the nation 😂” posted Senator Kihika on Facebook.

The president will be in the area to issue the locals with title deeds which have been delayed since former president Jomo Kenyatta’s era.

Tanga-tanga team, which is allied to Deputy President William Ruto, has been at loggerheads with President Uhuru Kenyatta after the team reportedly defied the president’s orders to stop early campaigns and failed to embrace the Handshake between Uhuru and Raila Odinga.

Recently, Kandara MP Alice Wahome lectured the president on the importance of democracy after she was given a chance to address mourners at the burial of veteran politician Charles Rubia in Murang’a.

Wahome also talked tough about allegations that President Kenyatta wants to cling to power after the expiry of his second term in 2022.

But the group allied to Ms Wahome praised their MP, hailing her as a brave leader who never shies away from telling the truth.

The decision to lock out William Ruto’s allies from the function comes just some hours after President Uhuru Kenyatta fired one of Ruto’s close ally, Mwangi Kiunjuri from Agriculture docket.

Kiunjuri was replaced by former Trade and Industrialization CS Peter Munya.
