Senate Majority Leader and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen has lashed out at renowned city lawyer Nelson Havi for appearing to support the state in Moses Kuria’s woes.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday morning to comment on a video of Tanga Tanga MPs led by Kandara legislator Alice Wahome being tear-gassed by the police, Havi said that the state has never been a friend to any citizen.
“The State has never been the citizen’s friend even when you are part of it. If in doubt, study the origin of State or check what these Wajinga Nyinyi‘victims’ were doing and saying in 2017 and 2018. ^DoS,” Havi tweeted.

Responding to Havi, Murkomen hit out at the lawyer accusing him of mocking the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).
“Hon. Alice is a senior member of the bar. A Court order has been ignored. You want to be President LSK. You are mocking members. Wacha Kieleweke,” Murkomen responded.

Relentless Havi replied to Murkomen taking him back to the statement he made in 2017.“Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen, you seem to have forgotten your statement directed at the Judiciary after 1.9.2017. You also, cannot remember the article in The Star by retired CJ Dr Willy Mutunga directed at you on the matter and your gross misconduct as an Advocate…” Havi replied.

Kuria is in police custody over charges of assault pressed by a woman who claims he punched her at the Royal Media Services headquarters.
