Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria found himself the debate of yet another issue with only two weeks into the New Year.
Kuria became the subject of a #ArrestMosesKuria hashtag after a video of a lady identified as Joyce Wanja.
The lady claimed that the controversial politician assaulted her during an interview at Royal Media Services.
Wanja pointed out that the leader punched her during the Inooro TV show known as Kirîrîmbi.
She highlighted that Kuria was irked after she told him off while discussing on the BBI report.
According to the Kiambu lady, the lawmaker during a fundraising ceremony held in the area for orphans, made utterances that were not suitable for the children.
It was alleged that the troubled politician insulted Kiambu women and stated that their inner wares were smelly.
Kuria known for his outbursts of anger was stated to have stood up and landed a blow to Wanja.
The incident is remarked to have taken place on December 8.
“Nilichapwa na Moses Kuria tukiwa kwa jumba la Royal Media Services. Nilikuwa nimeitwa show ya Kirîrîmbi. Tulikuwa tunaongelea maneno ya BBI. Nikamwabia hakufanya poa juu kuna matamshi aliongea one week ago huko Kiambu pahali kulikuwa na event yakuchangishia watoto mayatima. Aliongea maneno amabayo hayakuambatana na event na amabyo hayakufa kusemwa mbele ya watoto(I was beaten by Moses Kuria when we attended a show at Royal Media Services known as Kirîrîmbi. While discussing on the BBI matter, I told him off in regards to sentiments shared a week ago during a fundraising event for orphans. I stated that what he echoed was not something that should be uttered in front of the children,)” stated Wanja.
The troubled lady further noted that she had taken the matter to the police but no action had been taken on Kuria.
Wanja questioned whether the lack of money to hire a lawyer was the reason why the authorities were dragging on apprehending the legislator.
“Sijui amekosa kushikwa juu sina pesa ya wakili ama ni nini inaendelea. Naomba George Kinoti and Fred Matiang’i na hata President Uhuru Kenyatta munisaidie kwa sababu akinyamaziwa ataenda kuumiza wamama wengine(I don’t if it is cause I lack the money to get a lawyer that has made the police not to arrest him. I plead with DCI boss Kinoti, Interior CS Matiang’i and even President Uhuru to intervene in the matter. If Kuria is not arrested he might end up assaulting other Kiambu women,)” expressed the lady.
