The angry parents are said to have stormed the school she taught claiming the school’s performance was poor.
The teacher was reportedly taking her children to school in the early morning when she was attacked by unknown assailants.
The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary-General Wilson Sossion, has sent out a statement to newsrooms castigating the parents of Ndooni primary school and accused them of being behind the atrocious murder.
“For unknown reasons, parents invaded the school, evicted the teacher, and later ambushed her while she was taking her children to school, killing her instantly, and setting her body aflame,” the KNUT Secretary-General said.
Sossion urged the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Interior to offer security to teachers and school property to ensure the situation does not run out of control.
So far, the school has been closed indefinitely following the ugly incident.
