Kenya Wants to Execute Me Khashoggi Style: Miguna

Political activist Miguna Miguna Wednesday finally responded to the government, on the issue of why he has not presented himself to any Kenya embassy abroad, to get his passport woes resolved.

Government Spokesperson Cyrus Oguna had earlier issued a statement asserting that all Miguna had to do was visit any Kenyan mission in order to have his passport processed.

In the statement, the retired colonel wondered why Miguna had not taken this simple step, yet government officials serving in overseas offices were more than ready to assist him.

Appearing in an interview on the JK Live show on Citizen TV, Miguna revealed that he was afraid of what the government might have in store for him, should he dare step foot in any of the said embassies.

Miguna indicated that he was on high alert following the murder of Middle East political activist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.

Khashoggi was lured by the Saudi government to a consulate in Turkey, where he had been invited to obtain legal papers for his upcoming wedding.

While he was caught on CCTV cameras entering the premises, Khashoggi never made it out, and it later emerged that agents of the Saudi Arabian government killed him reportedly under the instruction of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

According to Miguna, the government has most likely laid such a trap for him as well, under the guise of inviting him to get his travel papers.

“Remember Khashoggi, who was killed in the embassy in Turkey by agents of the Saudi government…I am not that stupid and I am not that naive to walk into that kind of trap when there is no way anybody would be able to observe what is happening in the embassy when I am surrounded by agents of the Kenyan government,” he noted.

“I will not die like Khashoggi,” Miguna added in response to Oguna, who was also part of the live interview.
