Ulinzi Stars Confirms Two Departures

Kenyan Premier League side, Ulinzi Stars have confirmed that departure of strikers Samuel Mwangi and Ezekiel Okare as part of the team’s restructuring ahead of the second leg.

Mwangi joined the side in 2018 from Kariobangi Sharks but the Kakamega High School alumnus who has previously turned out for Sony Sugar featured in a handful of matches for the military outfit. He has now been shipped out as confirmed by the club in a statement.

“Official: Samuel Mwangi has parted ways with the club on mutual consent. He was with the team for nine months, and got his debut in the final match of last season, against Mount Kenya United. We wish him well in his future endeavors,” read the statement.

Okare, on the other hand, has also exited the Nakuru based side and joined Posta Rangers on a three-year deal. The forward joined Ulinzi in December 2018 from Sofapaka and failed to impress for the side during that period. His contract has elapsed and has now left for the Mail-Men.

“Official: Ezekiel Okare has left the club to join Posta Rangers at the conclusion of his two year deal with Ulinzi Stars. We wish him well at his new work station,” read the statement from Ulinzi’s social media pages.

The club is yet to recruit any player this window.
