Lawyer Kipkorir’s Attack on Nyali MP Badly Backfires

Flamboyant city lawyer Donald Kipkorir was left with an egg on his face after his attempts to discredit Nyali MP Mohammed Ali hit a dead end.

Reacting to the decision by Mohammed Ali to name a school after himself, lawyer Kipkorir detested the move, even giving an analogy of what ‘great’ people have done in the past.

“Across ages & History, truly great & reformist leaders never left their names on any City, Street or building … Some even left a Will that their bodies be buried in secret places so as not to be shrines .. But in Kenya, small tinpot dictators put their names on public projects.” read the tweet by lawyer Kipkorir.

His sentiments, however, would not be taken lightly by supporters of the former TV journalist-turned-politician who demanded to know what the lawyer has ever done for the public.

“Atleast he has done something with a mistake of a name. The question is what have you done apart from being a political cheerleader?” asked a Twitter user identified as Abu Abdurrahman.

Kipkorir would fire back almost immediately, discrediting Abu as having ‘few’ followers and that he was a bot.

“With 18 Followers which makes you a BOT, how will you know what I have done? And am not a public servant and thus don’t have to say what I do,” Kipkorir stated.

Another user named ‘Floods Guy’ would weigh in on the matter.

“So now opinions are weighed against the number of followers? Wasomi Seriously? Pia Manzu? Anyways back to the issue, the world over has institutions christened after benefactors. Don’t be petty. There are more pertinent issues to be addressed,” he wrote.

Pressed to declare his stance on economist Dr David Ndii’s proposal to have all roads and public spaces named after Kenyatta to be renamed, Kipkorir made another mistake.

“We are dealing with Mvita MP now …. we are dealing with the present,” he reacted, thereby attracting corrections that it was Nyali MP and not “Mvita” as he had stated.

A few other users, however, sided with lawyer Kipkorir’s idea and would join him to chide Nyali MP Mohammed Ali.

“Should be banned through the law. How do you put your name in a public project built on Taxpayers money? Comes with low self-esteem too, remarked a user named Muhsin Ali.
