Flamengo coach Jorge Jesus has slammed the imminent sale of midfielder, Jesus Reinier to Real Madrid for 30 million pounds saying the 17-year old is worth more than that.
Madrid and Flamengo have struck a deal that will see another young Brazilian prospect move to the Spanish capital this January joining the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes in the capital.

Jesus starred for the Copa Libertadores winners in 2019 and was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. But just as was the case with Goes and Vinicius, Zinedine Zidane’s side has won the race for his signature.
Jesus, however, feels the player has sold been sold at a throw-away price. He slammed the club hierarchy for not knowing how to price the players stating that the exciting prospect should have been sold at a higher figure.
“You can’t sell a player like Reinier for 30 million euros, “he said. “ At Benfica, players would be sold for more than they were actually worth. Flamengo doesn’t know how to price their players on their true value,” the former Benfica tactician added.
Jesus has been backed to shine both for club and country. His deft style of play has seen him compared to Brazilian great, Kaka.
