AFC Leopards lose Another Star to Wazito

Kenyan Premier League side, Wazito FC has once again raided cash-strapped AFC Leopards this time, for midfielder Whyvonne Isuza.

The Kenyan international terminated his contract with Ingwe over nonpayment and has now joined Wazito becoming the second player to ditch Leopards for the Stewart Hall coached side this January. The other is Dennis Sikhayi who joined Wazito on Thursday.

Isuza previously played for Mathare United before joining Leopards. He had been linked with a move to KCB and Bandari this January before Wazito won the race for his signature.

“Isuza is a national team player and he is definitely a good addition to the team. The technical bench recommended his signing because they understand his abilities and we are glad that he agreed to join us. His addition makes us stronger,” CEO Dennis Gicheru told the club website.

Wazito team manager Bramwell Makotsi hailed the player’s capture saying he will beef up the midfield. He also spoke of his versatility stating that it will be good for the struggling KPL side.

” Isuza has been one of the best midfielders in the Kenyan Premier League in the past few years and we are glad to have him on board. He is a versatile player who can play in different positions and that versatility is important for the team. We are trying to beef up the team by getting quality players, players like him (Isuza) make us a better team” he said.
