Over the past few days, Kenyans seemed convinced that they finally unmasked Betty Kyallo’s lover. This came after Journalist Ken Mijungu mentioned that Betty has been dating a Somali guy even though she has never posted any of his photos revealing his face on social media.
The Somali guy-Alinur Mohamed; whom Kenyans believe is Betty’s lover has finally spoken in regard to the dating claims.
In a post on Twitter, Mohamed termed the speculations doing rounds on social media as misleading. According to him, the information that went viral lacks facts and is being spread by individuals with malicious interest.
“There has been speculations about my personal life in the past few days. Kenyans are linking me to the Somali Guy who was mentioned by NTV news anchor Ken Mijungu in his story that touched on Betty Kyallo and Dennis Okari. All these speculations are misleading.” He wrote
Mohamed also made it clear that he is not the ‘Somali guy’ dating the TV personality-Betty and even added that he has a family that he loves.
He also gave the reason why he decided to issue a statement saying that Kenyans deserve to know the truth.
“It’s important that Kenyans know the Truth. I have a family that I love so much” he stated
As part of his statement, Mohammed urged Kenyans to have some respect for the families involved.
“I am therefore asking those purporting that I am the mysterious Somali Guy to have some respect for my family, Betty Kyallo’s family, Dennis Okari and myself.” reads tweet in part
Last year, Betty confirmed to the public that she had moved on by posting photos of her new lover even though she kept his face hidden. This made fans even curious to find out more about the mysterious man.
If Mohammed’s statement is anything to go by, Kenyans have not put a face to Kyallo’s new lover and Betty’s silence on the matter might be a sign that she plans on keeping her relationship life private.
