Ain’t love stories beautiful to hear? It’s always said that God has kept someone for you, it’s just a matter of time he will introduce you to your Mr Right/Mrs. Right.
In an Interview with Talk Central, Citizen TV news anchor Willis Raburu revealed that he met his wife Mary Ngami Raburu in church, Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) through his friend, Pablo.
Raburu added that he was wowed by her blossoming beauty but he could not do anything since he was already in a relationship with a woman identified as Sally Mbilu. Raburu had proposed to her and rumours had it that the ring cost Ksh.100,000.
“We met in church, at Jubilee Christian Church through my friend Pablo. He introduced me and when I saw her, l was like ‘Good Lord Hallelujah!’ But even though I noticed her fine-ness, I didn’t do anything as I was still in a relationship. About a year passed by after we met, he stated.
After ending his relationship with Sally, he decided to pursue Mary. Wild Willis had confessed that he was not certain about her, he wanted to know if Mary loved him for fame or it was unconditional love.
“After my break up, I reached out to her (Mary). I was very sceptical, nilimtesa sana. She would reach out to me and I just didn’t reply. This was because I wanted to know whether she loved Willis wa TV or just Willis. I cancelled like 4 times,” he confessed.
After Willis Raburu fractured his leg that is when he got to know Mary Ngami was the one for him. She never left his side at that moment.
“We started getting to know each other, I broke my knee and she started coming over. During that time she would give me things instead of asking for things which is what I was used to,” Raburu reveals.
As they say, the rest is history. They later got married in a low key colourful wedding ceremony in 2017 which was attended by close family and friends.
