Lyon Turn Down Chelsea Bid For Striker

French giants Lyon has reportedly turned down Chelsea’s 34 million pounds opening bid for striker Moussa Dembele.

Coach Frank Lampard has made it clear that he wants to beef up his forward line and had earmarked the former Fulham and Celtic man for signing this window and has tabled a bid that according to reports in France has been turned down.

With Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud expected to leave the club this January, Lampard is looking for a forward who will partner Tammy Abraham up front and Dembele who is also a Man United and Chelsea FC target is his main target.

His opening bid has however been turned down and the Londoners will have to increase their offer if they are to sign the French hitman this January. The club is expected to return with a better bid with Lyon said to be willing to sell but at the right price.

Another striker linked with the Blues is Brazilian forward Gabriel Barbosa. The Inter Milan forward was in fine form for his native Flamengo where he scored 34 goals and recorded 11 assists last season. The Brazil international was loaned to Flamengo after struggling in Milan and is now a Tottenham, Crystal Palace, and Arsenal target as well
