Even as most Kenyans continue to usher in the new year 2020 in style with their extended families back in the countryside, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has not been left behind.
Murkomen, who travelled to his native Elgeyo Marakwet county to celebrate the new year with his parents, has left many social media users delighted after sharing photos of himself together with his look-alike father.
Taking to his Facebook account on Wednesday, the Senate Majority Leader shared photos of himself hanging out with his father, Reverend Johana Murkomen Kanda at their home in Elgeyo Marakwet.
The scenic photos of the vast lying Kerio Valley and the gentle rolling escarpments at the background of the photos left many social media users thrilled while complimenting the two gentlemen.
Later in the day, Murkomen headed to his nearest county of West Pokot where he, together with other leaders from the region, celebrated annual Peace celebrations at Kapsait to commemorate the peace pact between Pokots and the Marakwets in Lelan area.
“Today I joined fellow leaders in the annual Peace celebrations at Kapsait to commemorate the peace pact between Pokots&Marakwets in Lelan area. The occasion was led by Bishop Crowley&in attendance was Bishop Kimengich who will soon take over the leadership of Eldoret Diocese,” posted Murkomen.
