Aubameyang Sends Urgent Message to Team-mate after Losing Man United Bet

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sent a message to team-mate Ainsley Maitland-Niles on social media after Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Manchester United.

Arsenal earned their first Premier League win in five games thanks to first-half goals from Nicolas Pepe and Sokratis.

The Gunners were good value for their two-goal lead at half-time, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side unable to cope with their high pressing and energy in midfield.

Pepe sidefooted past David de Gea after good work from Sead Kolasinac on the left flank, before Sokratis slammed home after a flick-on from a corner.

The result was the first time Mikel Arteta had tasted victory since replacing Unai Emery as Arsenal head coach, and the Spaniard paid tribute to supporters after the game.

Aubameyang, who started on the left of Arsenal’s front three alongside Alexandre Lacazette and Pepe, took to social media after the game to post a picture of himself and defender Maitland-Niles.

Aubameyang scored the only goal of the game in the 1-0 win on Tyneside that afternoon, which could suggest that Maitland-Niles must pay the Gunners skipper whenever he finds the back of the net.

And with the striker’s rare blank against Manchester United, Maitland-Niles could be set for a small financial bonus.

Meanwhile, off the pitch, Aubameyang brushed off questions about his future amid reports that the forward was looking to leave Arsenal in the January transfer window.
