Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga was today forced to respond to a social media user who asked for her hand in marriage.
In a screenshot she reposted on her Facebook timeline, Omanga revealed that the man; Oanda had been trying to reach her for a while and has even packed his bags in preparations to meet her. The man also claimed to have confessed his love for the Senator through his brother’s Facebook account.
As part of his confession, Oanda also revealed that he had no money but was willing to date the Senator and survive off her wealth.
“People fear you because you are beautiful. But with have decided to date you even marry you though I don’t have money but we can use yours for survival” he wrote
In response to the man’s request, the Senator publicly agreed to meet him and offered to support him financially.
According to Omanga she was impressed by the man’s courageous efforts but turned down the marriage proposal saying that she is taken.
“Oanda Hi, surely I don’t mind meeting you for your courageous efforts of reaching out to me. Sadly, I am already taken but all is not lost, I still want to meet you, have a chat and also empower you economically at least when you meet the perfect girl utakuwa na pesa ya kulea familia and kufanya harusi pia.” She wrote
The senator also asked the social media user to reach out upon his arrival in Nairobi city so that they can organize for their meet up.
This is not the first time that men have made advances to the Senator. In a previous incident, men online were drooling over her after a video of her dancing went viral.
