Sudi Undress Raila Over Remarks on Source of Ruto’s Money

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has hit out at ODM party leader Raila Odinga over his remarks on why Deputy President William Ruto should step aside due to his alleged association with corruption.

Through his Facebook post on Saturday, Sudi, who is a close ally of Ruto, told off the opposition chief claiming he was spending over 50 million shillings on a single trip to West African state Nigeria on his alleged ‘uganga‘ missions.

The vocal MP stated that Raila could have used the said amount to invite and host delegations in his own home, just the same way as Ruto instead of ever complaining.

Sudi wondered why Raila was always bitter about Ruto’s money, saying he could have used the same money in building churches, fundraiser and funding other projects other than using it on questionable deeds.

“Raila spends over 50M on a single trip to Nigeria, the same 50M can be used to host, feed and transport 75% of Nyanza population. He goes to West Africa five times in a year making him spend over 250M in a year for uganga reasons. Such a huge amount of money could have been used to build churches, fundraiser and fund other projects but Mganga has his own way of spending. Tunamjua sana huyu Mzee!” posted Sudi on Facebook.

Through an exclusive interview with Citizen TV, Raila was quoted claiming that the Deputy President William Ruto has been hosting different delegations at his home, slaughtering hundreds of chicken, and dishing out millions of shillings from unexplained wealth.

Raila also questioned the source of Ruto’s millions which bamboozled the Kenyan church in 2019 adding that the DP should undergo a lifestyle audit.

“Which individual can have such amount of money? You are hosting crowds and crowds of people each and every day slaughtering hundreds of chicken, paying for their transport and giving them petty cash! What is the source of such huge amounts of money?” wondered Raila.
