Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has schooled ODM party leader Raila Odinga on generosity using a bible verse.
Taking to his twitter account on Sunday, the vocal Senator quoted the book of 1st Chronicles 29:21-22 as a verse of dedication to the opposition chief, who has been so vocal against DP William Ruto’s church donations.
Murkomen took Raila into a task by explaining to him how the biblical King David was so generous in his Christian life which saw him made numerous sacrifices and offerings to his God.
“Dear Baba read 1 Chr 29:21-22 about King David and his generosity “…They made sacrifices to the Lord and presented burnt offerings to him: a 1000 bulls, a 1000 rams and a 1000 male lambs,together with their drink offerings, and other sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.” tweeted Murkomen.
Murkomens sentiments were also echoed by Soy MP Caleb Kositany, who rubbished Raila’s recent remarks on the source of Ruto’s wealth.
According to Kositany, Raila, who comes from lake victoria region, should have bred some fish from the lake, and invite his colleagues for a feast just like Ruto and stop questioning frequent delegations to Ruto’s home.
“I want to tell Raila the cows and goats people eat at the Deputy President’s residence are cows and goats he has kept and fed himself….you live by the lake Victoria full of fish…..invite people to eat them for free….” remarked Kositany.
Murkomen and Kositany’s sentiments came after Raila Odinga, in an interview with Citizen Tv on Friday at his Bondo farm, opined that William Ruto should step aside and be investigated over corruption.
Raila claimed Ruto had been hosting different delegations in his home, slaughtering chicken and dishing out millions of shillings from unexplained wealth.
The ODM party leader also questioned the source of Ruto’s millions which he said amazed most Kenyan churches in 2019.
“Which individual can have much money? You are bringing different delegations each and every day slaughtering chicken and paying for their transport and giving them petty cash, what is the source of such cash?” wondered Raila.
