TV Host Accuses Lawyer Ahmednassir of Hiding Ruto’s Stolen Money

For the better part of the year, Deputy President William Ruto hit the headlines over his generosity especially in contributing money to churches.

Consequently, forces opposed to Ruto christened the deputy head of state as a corrupt individual, who can only afford the millions of shillings he every now and then injects into church fundraisers, by raiding public coffers.

This is a sentiment that was most recently aired by ODM leader Raila Odinga, in an interview with Citizen TV.

“…you have a situation where individuals are moving around with sacks full of money every Sunday looking for harambees to go and donate. Until there is boldness enough to face those people directly and tell them to step aside we do lifestyle audit on you, we are just scratching the surface,” the ODM leader said.

On Saturday, controversial TV host Tony Gachoka, well-known for his unconcealed dislike for Ruto, brought in renowned city lawyer Ahemednasir Abdullahi into the DP’s mud dragging, claiming that he is heftily paid by the DP to help him hide away looted funds.

According to Gachoka, Ruto’s “hustler” street identity is just but a hypocritical means to draw away attention from his “unexplained wealth.”

“@ahmednasirlaw your client Ruto as always in the HEADLINES. UNEXPLAINED WEALTH,” the Pointblank show host begun his rant.

“…He brainwashed KENYANS to call him HUSTLER yet HE PAYS you hundreds of MILLIONS to Hide THE LOOT .. or Am I WRONG … just Asking .. Let the real BATTLES BEGIN ..Raila Speaks .. is he RIGHT?” the controversial journalist continued.

Gachoka was responding to a local daily’s frontpage that has gone viral on social media headlined, “Ruto must go, declares Raila.”

The article has sparked an online battle of words between Ruto and Raila supporters, coupled with a Friday night tweet by Ruto attacking Raila yet again on the issue of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
