Every year, most of you talk about how they must hit the gym and start juicing but that never happens.
The bad eating habits take over again which make you add weight in the long run and some end up having eating disorders. If you have been struggling to eat right in 2019, do not worry 2020 is here with us.
There is a chance to improve and here are five major eating habits that should not be your portion in 2020;
1. Starving yourself.
Some of you believe that starving yourself will make you lose weight but that is not the case. Skipping meals will only make you add weight. For instance, if you skip breakfast and your body has been “starving” for 12 to 18 hours you will overeat and your body will store the food as fat.
2. Skipping breakfast.
Breakfast is the most important meal in your day to day life. It is known to kick start your metabolism, burns calories during the day, gives you a better memory and concentration. Having breakfast every morning should be your goal in 2020.
3. Not drinking water.
Water is an essential part of your health because it plays a huge role in the body. Its benefits include; creating saliva, prevents constipation, improves blood oxygen circulation and fights off illness. For your body to burn fat, it needs at least eight glasses of pure water daily.
It reduces hunger which helps in weight loss and cleans out unnecessary toxins.
Lack of water in the body causes poor concentration, dry mouth, dizziness, weak immunity, heart palpitations and decreased urine output.
4. Eating Sugar, white flour and carbohydrates.
It does not hurt to have sugar, white flour foods and carbs once in a while. They are needed in the body for energy and keeping the insulin on check.
As it’s said too much of something is poisonous. Consuming lots of sugar raises blood sugar levels which cause the body to produce insulin. For the white flour and sugar lovers, you will store more fat and have a hard time burning its calories.
If you have to eat sugar, white flour and carbs, limit the intake.
5. Not knowing what you eat.
It’s very important to observe and know what you eat. This is because it will help you maintain your weight and learn how to eat right.
