Chelsea have reportedly been offered Real Madrid’s Isco as Zinedine Zidane prepares to sign wantaway Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen who will be out of contract in the summer.
Eriksen has made it clear that he wants to quit the north London club and although Juventus and Manchester United are also keen on his services, the former Ajax Amsterdam man wants to complete a dream move to Real Madrid.
Zidane is said to be a huge admirer of the attacking midfielder and wants to bring him on board. However, he has to create room in his already crowded midfield before he can sanction the signing of the Spurs man.
One player who he wants to make way is former Malaga man, Isco. Zidane has offered the Spanish international to Chelsea in a deal that will cost the Blues in excess of 44 million pounds.
Chelsea will, however, face competition from Manchester City for the 27-year old. City are keen on replacing David Silva who will depart at the end of the season and Isco perfectly fits the bill. A chance to work with his compatriot Pep Guardiola may also tilt the scale in City’s favor.
Chelsea are also trailing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. The England international has been in good form attracting interest from his former club Manchester City, rivals Manchester United and Liverpool.
