A section of leaders from Central Kenya are today (Thursday) converging at Deputy President Dr William Ruto’s rural home in Sugoi to make what they have termed as a major declaration.

The group of 4,000 Kikuyu community people led by Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri first converged at Eldoret Sports Club before heading to Eldoret Silverline where they met a section of Eldoret residents.

Ngunjiri said that the people had volunteered to come and meet their leader, DP Ruto.

The lawmaker says the leaders want to respect and show the DP that indeed he is loved.

He says they want to show the second in command that Kikuyus have been staying in Rift Valley and are happy because of the 2013 handshake between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The leaders say they decided to go to Ruto’s Sugoi home to put more strength on his 2013 political agreement with president Kenyatta, ahead of 2022 succession politics.

It is from Sugoi where they will now make a major declaration.

“We want to respect him, we want to show we love him, and we want to sho him we stay in Rift Valley and we are happy because of the 2013 handshake…..We are also coming to put more strength on that…you are going to succession and there are many things that will happen….,” Ngunjiri said in part of his remarks.

The DP is also today expected in Uasin Gishu County where he will preside over Kambi Kuku poultry auction where he will be the Chief Guest.

The DP is also set to preside over the annual Kimalel Goat Auction on Saturday, 21st.
