The January transfer window is just two weeks away from being active. Arsenal currently sits in 10th on the Premier League table and the club is on the verge of appointing a new manager.

It is clear that the manager will need to be backed in the January transfer window since the current players have proved to be below the required standards.

Below are three players who could be gettable in January and will instantly improve the Gunners.

Dayot Upamecano

The young 21-year-old center back is exactly what Arsenal needs. He is quick with and without the ball plus he is a front footed defender who likes to engage in attacks before they even start.

Furthermore, Upamecano also has a very good range of passing which is essential for a center back playing for Arsenal as they like to pass the ball from the back.

Thomas Partey

The Ghanian defensive midfielder was very close to making a move to Arsenal in the summer. After so long without a proper defensive midfielder, Partey would immediately fit in the Arsenal starting line up.

He can pass the ball and unlike Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi, the Atletico Madrid man has the positional discipline required to protect the backline for a whole duration of a football match.

The 17-year-old right-back, currently playing for Brazilian side Coritiba, has had an impressive year so far has played a significant part in Brazil’s under-17 World Cup triumph last month. Couto is touted to be the next big player to come out of Brazil.

Most people might point to the fact that he is unknown, but so was Gabriele Martinelli who came from Brazil and made an instant impact at Arsenal.
