Alai Accuses King Kaka of Faking DCI Summon

As the majority of Kenyans sympathise with rapper King Kaka over his Tuesday afternoon summon to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices, a sceptical few have read malice into the musician’s true intentions following the release of his instant hit Wajinga Nyinyi and the wave of fame that has hit him consequently.

Controversial blogger Robert Alai leads the pack,  accusing the celebrity of being an attention seeker who has taken things too far by faking police summons.

According to Alai, Kaka is in the process of launching his political career, and Kenyans are right where he wants them.

The businessman has been the trending topic on Kenya’s social media since the release of the spoken-word piece, which is a political diss track targeting the government, and the electorate in equal measure.

Soon after the release of the track, Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru revealed her intentions to sue the rapper for implicating her in crimes that she is innocent of, demanding that he immediately takes down the music video from YouTube, or he would face the music.

This was then followed by his Tuesday announcement of his alleged summon, with popular lawyers AhmedNassir, Martha Karua, Ekuru Aukot and Nelson Havi offering to represent the man, who is about to start a revolution, as some have termed him.

However, Alai and a number of his followers want Kaka to produce evidence of the summons before Kenyans embark on throwing a pity party.
