Murkomen Responds to Governor Mutua Over Death Threat Claims

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has fired a response to Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua’s claims against him.

Mutua, on Monday morning, recorded a statement at Kilimani Police Station arguing that Murkomen, alongside Deputy President William Ruto and National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale, had on two different occasions threatened him at State House.

But in his response, Murkomen claimed that the Machakos county chief was just writing another episode of his Cobra Squad series, which used to air on TVs sometime back.

He argued that the governor has failed spectacularly as a leader and has now turned himself into “a Joseph Goebbels of his county government”.

Murkomen argues that Mutua is of no consequence to anyone to deserve any attention.

“Mr. Mutua is writing another episode of his cobra squad series. Having failed spectacularly as a leader he turned himself into a Joseph Goebbels of his county govt. He is of no consequence to anyone to deserve any attention let alone threats. Let’s just watch the cinematic, vipindiree,” Murkomen tweeted.

Mutua, in his statement, argued that the trio had threatened him over his continued criticism against the DP.

He claimed that Duale, during an event at State House, last week told him that when he attacks the DP, he was attacking the whole team.

According to Mutua, Murkomen picked up from that point, urging Duale to leave everything to him so that he could teach the county boss a lesson.

“Niachie, I will deal with him,” Murkomen said as per Mutua’s statement.
