Manchester United Handed a Transfer Boost

Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of RB Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland as reports indicate that the Norwegian prefers a move to Old Trafford.

Haaland is currently the most sought-after striker after scoring 28 goals in 22 appearances for Salzburg in all competitions this campaign.

His fine form has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe including Manchester United. Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are other clubs that have made contact with the forward.

Earlier this week, the striker was in Germany where he visited Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig training grounds.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer flew to Salzburg on Friday to meet the striker as he looks to convince him to ditch the Austrian league for Old Trafford in January.

Now reports on the UK indicate that the forward prefers a move to Old Trafford as he wants to reunite with Solskjaer. The pair worked together at Molde with Solskjaer handing the youngster his first team debut before he moved to Austria.

The youngster is also excited by the idea of becoming part of Manchester United’s new-look young forward line consisting of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Daniel James and Mason Greenwood.

A stumbling block, however, is his controversial agent Mino Raiola who is said to be keen on taking the player to Juventus.
