Moses Kuria Bashes Mutua For Refusing to Work With DP Ruto

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Saturday strongly criticized a move by Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua to refuse to work with Deputy President William Ruto.

In a press statement released earlier by Maendeleo Chap Chap Party, of which Mutua is the party leader, the position of the party was that they were going to stand with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Big 4 Agenda campaign.

The party said that the Kambas were tired of been auctioned(sic) to the highest bidder and that they were also tired of looking for a political position for an individual and enriching a few.

Kuria said, “the Kamba community was sold, yes, but to the LOWEST BIDDER Raila Odinga who consigned them to wallow in the miasma of the opposition twice, abandoned them like expired Muthokoi, and rushed to eat Nzuu in Harambee House ALONE(sic).”

He also went ahead to state that the statement from Mutua was, “a tragi-comedy from a stale comedian.” Kuria also insisted that the best deal the Kambas ever got was when Kalonzo became vice president under Mwai Kibaki.

He felt they would get a better deal if they decided to work with DP Ruto.

This remarks by the Gatundu South legislator could be attributed to the fact that he formed a new political union with the deputy president.

Following the handshake between ODM leader Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta which was formed early in March 2019 some politicians within the Jubilee party silently shifted their allegiance to Ruto with an aim of getting a step ahead on the oncoming 2022 elections.

Among the notable ones being; Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’ wa, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and recently Moses Kuria.

A recent wave of change of politics in Ukambani has seen former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama switch political alliance and declare his support for Ruto.

Muthama, who has been a fierce critic of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee government, vowed to lead a delegation of senior political leaders from Ukambani to negotiate Kalonzo’s position in the merger ahead of 2022 polls.

He said, “If President Uhuru Kenyatta has not asked MPs to impeach Ruto over widespread allegations of corruption, why should the Kamba community be swayed by corruption tags on the DP by his political haters?”
