KPL Preview: Sharks Flirting With Relegation As Bandari Look To End Losing Run

The Kenya Premier League takes center stage this weekend with all the six matches lined up. Below are the main talking points ahead of matchday 14.

Can Bandari Stop The Rot?

Since they were knocked out of the CAF Confederations Cup, Bandari United’s form in the league took a drastic turn for the worse.

Bernard Mwalala and his team have won just one of their last seven matches and have lost three of the last four. On Saturday, the Dockers travel to the Moi Stadium to face a resurgent Kisumu All-Stars. Will they stop the rot?

Table Toppers Tusker Face Leopards Test

Tusker Fc took advantage of Gor Mahia not playing in midweek by seeing off Wazito and going top the table with 27 points. The team will now face off with AFC Leopards in what will be the sternest test to Tusker resolve.

To add more spice to the match, it will be a personal derby for Tusker head coach Robert Matano who also had a managerial stint with AFC Leopards.

Yet Another Heartless Display From Wazito FC?

Wazito FC players have been warned countless times by the club owner Ricardo Badoer. The outspoken businessman even sent what looked more like a threat on Twitter assuring most of the players that the club will let them go in the January Transfer window.

As a result, the players are putting in heartless performances and look very low on morale. Expect more of the same when they face-off with KCB over the weekend.

Kariobangi Sharks flirting with Relegation

Despite signing a multimillion sponsorship deal with betting company BetWay, Kariobangi Sharks is yet to win a bet or as most would call it; a football match.

They have won just once this season which was against bottom-placed Chemelil and should Kisumu All-Stars avoid a loss against Bandari while Sharks lose to Ulinzi, William Muluhyas team will be in the relegation places after matchday 14!
