ODM leader Raila Odinga finally broke his silence over the 2022 Presidential contest.
Raila during an interview on NTV, cleared the air over whether he will run for the top seat in the country.
The veteran politician noted that his concerns were pre-occupied elsewhere and was not thinking about the competition ahead.
The ‘Chungwa’ party head reiterated that he will not engage in such conversations and should not be asked about it.
He further added that he first wanted to deal with the BBI report and see that it is implemented.

ODM will field a candidate in 2022
The vocal leader, however, mentioned that ODM would field a candidate for the contest.
Raila assured that the party will have the right candidate when the time comes.
“I don’t have a particular candidate in mind. We have a process through which we use to identify our candidate.
“When the right time comes, we will use that process to select a candidate,” stated the ODM leader.
Raila’s relationship with Ruto
When questioned over his alleged bitter relationship with Deputy President William Ruto, Raila declared that he has no problem with the DP.
According to the NASA principal, the frosty nature is all political and not personal.
“I have no personal issues with DP Ruto…In politics, you have to be frank and speak your mind,” uttered the opposition leader.
He asserted that, “We’ve worked together before and whenever we disagreed, we’ve made it public that we do not agree on a certain issue but there are no personal grudges.”

Mudavadi is delusional
The son of the late Jaramogi Odinga pointed out that he is in good terms with President Uhuru Kenyatta, despite the handshake deal.
“We (Uhuru and Raila) have no hatred for each other. Our families go back in time,” noted the veteran leader.
Raila emphasised that the BBI document was not for selfish reasons.
The leader who has lost basically every presidential election race, declared that the report was to benefit Kenyans in the long run.
“What we are doing is not intended to propel me or President Uhuru to power in 2022,” commented Raila.
The former Prime Minister’s sentiments come after ANC party leader claimed that Raila betrayed his colleagues with the handshake agreement.
Raila articulated that Mudavadi had lost his mind when he proclaimed that the rest of the Nasa leaders were not contacted during the failed swearing-in ceremony.
