Sports pundit Gary Lineker has warned Liverpool that they are not home and dry in the English Premier League this season due to the form of second-placed Leicester City.
The Foxes continued their stunning run of form with a 4-1 win at Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon, with Jamie Vardy grabbing another brace for the club.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have now won their last eight in all competitions, including their last seven in the Premier League to showcase an absolutely stunning form.
Leicester are now six points clear of third-placed Manchester City, who suffered a 2-1 defeat to bitter rivals Manchester United in Saturday’s late kick-off.
The Foxes are still eight points off leaders Liverpool, though, who continued their winning run at Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
Lineker, who turned out for Leicester City between 1978 and 1985, has warned Jurgen Klopp’s side that the 2015/16 English champions are very much on their tail.
“Watch out Liverpool FC, The Foxes (Leicester City) are on your tail,” the 59-year old tweeted.
Watch out @LFC, The Foxes are on your tail.
