Outspoken Murkomen Eats Humble Pie in Bondo-Video

In the footage, Murkomen was recorded tactically playing safe in his address as he jokingly shared light moments with the congregation.

The Senate Majority leader tactically waded into the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report where he heaped praise on the recommendations.

Murkomen also addressed his outbursts at the Bomas of Kenya and said the Suna East Member of Parliament (MP) Junet Mohammed was a bit biased in inviting speakers at the launch of BBI report.

“Tumetoka juzi kwa mwaneno ya BBI ata kama mliona kulikua na mvurutano hiyo ilikua kidogo.Unajua Junet ilikua mara yake ya kwanza kusimamia programme na akaona achunge side yake sana ata mimi nikaona nichunge yangu kidogo.

“Lakini kitu ya maana zadi ni kusema kuwa hiyo ripoti ya BBI ni mzuri ziaid kwa maneno mengi yanayokuza mwananinchi wa kawaida…,” said Murkomen.

Loosely translated as: “Recently we have come from the launch of the BBI report. Though you saw some pockets of push and pull, that was a small matter.

“You know it was the first time Junet was in charge of a program and he was really taking care of his side so I had to defend mine too.

“But what is more important is the fact that the BBI report is a good one because it addresses issues that empower the common citizens.”

Also, Murkomen affirmed his support on the report and urged the congregation to read the document and understand it well.

Shockingly, despite having opposed the editing of the report to create a position of a powerful prime minister, the Senator, seemingly playing safe, told the church he had no qualms accepting any amendments.

Murkomen also used the opportunity to invite the Senate Minority leader James Orengo at his county adding that he had to reciprocate his kind gesture.

Murkomen was accompanied by personal assistant to Deputy President Farouk Bet and former football star McDonald Mariga.

The Senator gave Ksh300,000 for the fundraiser.
