Among those who attended the event include Ali Hassan Joho (Mombasa Governor) Francis Kimemia (Nyandarua), Muthomi Njuki (Tharaka – Nithi), Mutahi Kahiga (Nyeri).

Others were Woman representatives: Fatuma Gedi (Wajir), Gathoni Wamuchomba (Kiambu), Fatuma Gedi (Wajir) and Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay) among others.

Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho and COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli were also in attendance.

During the event, Matiang’I dismissed claims by Deputy President William Ruto and his allies that Kibicho was charged with the plans to embarrass him during the recent launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report at the Bomas of Kenya.

“I take full responsibility for any action by the security team, never touch my PS, don’t blame him for any political problem within and without Government. Kenya has only one President – Uhuru Kenyatta – who we receive instructions from. Any action taken by the security personnel is as a result of a presidential directive…a house can never have two heads,” he said.

He further warned politicians against using BBI to divide Kenyans.
