Messi played a quick one time pass on the edge of the box for Luis Suarez to open the scoring after 22 minutes. The Uruguay striker returned the favor when a bad pass from Matt Hummels was intercepted and Suarez fed Lionel Messi who coolly slotted home for Barcelona’s second.

It was his 613 goal in his 700th Match for the Catalans. He should have scored another one minutes late but mistimed his dribble and the ball rolled out of play for a goal kick.

French forward Ousmane Dembele was subbed off with an injury and replaced by his fellow countryman Antoine Griezmann.
