Itumbi Speaks after Embarrassing Ejection from Bomas Dais

Embattled blogger Dennis Itumbi has spoken for the first time after he was unceremoniously ejected from the VVIP dais where President Kenyatta and DP Ruto sat ahead of the official launch of BBI.

A video shared by Daily Nation captured burly State-House security detail forcefully ejecting a man who formerly had the President’s ear in the full glare of cameras.

Surprisingly, Itumbi had somehow joined a State House cameramen filming from back-stage when a man in a grey suit accosted him.

Itumbi, who tried to save face during the commotion, opted to go in the opposite direction he was being led when all hell broke loose.

After a short while, the security official is seen dragging Itumbi with his feet barely touching the ground.

Reacting to the video, Itumbi attempted to downplay the moment instead, saying there was no embarrassing moment whatsoever.

The former Director of Digital Communications in the office of the President has been through a series of embarrassing moments after President Kenyatta dissolved his communication team.

The President would further move Itumbi to DP William Ruto’s office at Harambee Annex in a move that was widely viewed to “take Itumbi at the centre of politics.”

Things got worse when President Kenyatta deleted his personal social media accounts, rendering Itumbi jobless.

However, the digital strategist has since maintained a brave face, often being seen in the company of Deputy President Dr William Ruto and those with close proximity to power.
