Liverpool Legend Reveals Who he Wants as Next Manchester United Coach

Liverpool Legend Jamie Carragher has suggested that Manchester United should dump Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for immediate Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino with the Red Devils currently struggling in the English Premier League.

Solskjaer is currently under pressure as United continue to lag behind the leading pack. The Red Devils are currently 9th in the EPL log with 17 points from 13 league matches. They are 20 points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.

Before United hired the Norwegian, they had targeted Pochettino while he was still at Spurs but a good run as interim boos convinced Manchester United hierarchy to hand him the reigns permanently.

Carragher an ex-footballer now a pundit says United should back the tactician during the January transfer window in order to enable him to turn the team’s fortunes around. He, however, adds that the team should move for the Argentine if things don’t change for the better soon.

“In terms of Ole, there’s no doubt Pochettino was the one they originally wanted and Solskjaer did so well that it forced United to give him the job. I agree that he should be allowed in January to get what he needs and look after himself but at the top of United, if this continues into Christmas or January, this is Manchester United, one win in 11 away from home since March,” he said.

‘With a guy like Pochettino who could take this club forward, they would not be doing their job properly if they weren’t in contact with him.’
