Mourinho Pulls First Drama, Walks Out Before Halftime

Jose Mourinho is back to the English Premier League with his signature drama.

On his first game with Tottenham Hotspur against West Ham United at London Stadium on Saturday, the Portuguese behaved as expected of him by many fans who understand him fully.

With a few seconds to the half-time whistle, Mourinho pulled out of the touchline into the tunnel, leaving many fans in awe. He could not wait for centre referee Michael Oliver’s permission.

Interestingly, his new side Spurs were already up with two goals courtesy of Son Heung-Min in the 36th minute and Lucas Moura in the 43rd minute.

Dele Alli won the ball from Diop, threaded a pass into Son who did a stepover and accelerated past Diop before shooting at an angle to beat Roberto in goal.

About seven minutes later, Moura slid in to convert Son’s cross from wide left. Alli was brilliant again, falling over and flicking the ball along the line while lying down.

“HALF-TIME: So far, so good. Goals from Sonny and Lucas Moura give us a well-deserved half-time lead at the London Stadium,” Tottenham Hotspur tweeted.

Before this, West Ham had also gotten their fair share of the game. Rice had driven forward with the ball and laid it off to Yarmolenko, who picked out Snoddy for a fruitless but good attempt in the first few minutes of the match.

Mourinho was appointed by Tottenham Hotspur to replace Mauricio Pochettino. He had stayed out of job since his exit from Manchester United.

He’s been known to be the ‘Special One’ but he’s now rebranding as the ‘Humble One’. However, it will be fascinating to see how he lives to the dream of his latest tag.
