Key Talking Points Ahead Of Week 11 In The Kenya Premier League

The Kenya Premier League continues this weekend with all teams set to feature this on Sunday and Monday. Gor Mahia continues to lead the table while Chemelil remains rooted at the bottom.

Here are the main talking points ahead of matchday 11 in the Kenya Premier League.

Impressive Posta Rangers host the Brewers

Sammy Omollo is doing a very good job at Posta Rangers. The Mailmen are unbeaten in their last seven fixtures and sit fifth on the table, just a point behind their next opponents Tusker.

Tusker came from behind to draw with Western Stima at home which suggests that Posta Rangers could inflict more damage to their title ambitions.

Leaky Bandari welcome Free-scoring Gor Mahia

Bandari has lost four of their last five fixtures and has not kept a clean-sheet in the same run. The Dockers let in two in their midweek clash against AFC Leopards.

They host a Gor Mahia side that has scored seven goals in their last two league assignments. This could turn out to be a very busy afternoon for the Bandari defenders at the Mbaraki Stadium.

Will Doomed Chemelil honor the fixture?

Chemelil Sugar is bottom of the table, has not won a single match this season and failed to turn up for their last match against KCB. The club is surely destined for relegation and a third walkover on Sunday could make this a reality five months earlier than expected.

Should they miraculously honor the match, Mathare United will be itching to get their hands on them especially after seeing their unbeaten run ended by Sofapaka in midweek.

Batlle of the flops in Machakos

Despite spending millions in the transfer market, Wazito FC is just two points above the relegation zone. The club fired Melis Medo after the loss to Kisumu All-Stars which means that they will have a third coach injust their 11th match this season.

Meanwhile, Kariobangi Sharks are in the relegation zone and despite signing a new sponsorship deal this week, they lost heavily to Ulinzi Stars on Thursday. Safe to say that the match in Machakos will be a battle of the flops.
