Star Journalist Found Dead Inside Senior Female Police Officer’s House

A correspondent of Radio Africa Group’s Star Newspaper has been found murdered. According to police, Eric Oloo’s body was found with stab wounds, indicating a possible murder.

Reports indicate that his corpse was discovered inside the house of a senior female police Inspector in Ugunja.

The police officer has since gone missing.

This comes just hours after K24 news director Daniel Chemjor died in a road crash in Baringo County.

Chemjor’s met his death while on the way to visit his wife and newborn child.

According to county police, a mechanical mishap caused his vehicle to veer off the road, crashing into a gorge at the Kerio River Bridge.

Elgeyo Marakwet County Commissioner Dr Ahmed Omar confirmed the incident, saying the deceased was alone in the car during the Wednesday night crash.

Police have launched investigations into the shocking incident.

Sources say that the dead Star journalist had in the past been embroiled in wrangles with the Siaya County administration.

Oloo had allegedly been beaten up by Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga’s officials in 2014, with the Governor also reported to have issued a stern warning to him over his investigations into County affairs.
